Volunteer with Us
The Sorrento Writers Festival simply wouldn’t happen without our dedicated volunteers, and we’re looking forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces in 2026.
We need more than 150 volunteers in the lead-up to, and during, the 2026 Festival weekend, April 23-26, 2026.
Volunteer shifts are available in the morning, afternoon, and for some evening events. Volunteering at the Sorrento Writers Festival is rewarding, fun, and makes a meaningful contribution to the local community.
Tasks include:
- Assisting attendees with tickets and seating
- Providing venue, amenity, and local area information – including tips on where to get the best coffee, disability parking, event venue changes
- Supporting the box office team with ticketing
- Ensuring venues are reset and tidy between sessions
- Assisting and welcoming our guest authors and corporate partners
- Driving or directing speakers to venues beyond the Sorrento main street
- Supporting daily Festival communications
Please note: In the weeks leading up to the Festival we’ll hold three volunteer information sessions. You are required to attend one session to be able to Volunteer, please keep this in mind when registering.
