How to buy an Early Bird Pass

    Our Festival Early Bird Pass will be available for purchase from January 10, 2025. Please click here to purchase. 

    There are just 400 Early Bird Passes available, and they cost $385 per pass.  

    Your pass allows: 

    • Free entry to an unlimited number of Sorrento Writers Festival general admission sessions across Wednesday April 23-Sunday April 27.
    • Early access to the program. The program and tickets will be released to Early Bird pass holders one week prior to its general release to the wider community, and you will still need to book into each session you wish to attend during this time. Please see below FAQ’s for further details. 

    Please note: this DOES NOT INCLUDE SPECIAL EVENTS  (i.e. The Political Lunch, The Barry Jones Oration and Drinks, Talking Footy, Words & Music etc) 

    Premium Early Bird Passes

    In 2025 we are also offering just 50 Premium Early Bird Passes. For $500 you will receive all the above benefits, plus:  

    • guaranteed front 2-3 rows seating (depending on venue)
    • access to our special Festival Concierge Service – a personal guide who will assist our Premium Early Bird’s with their bookings and tickets, accommodation, parking and access queries

    Early Bird Pass FAQ

    Does the Early Bird Pass give all access?

    An EBP doesn’t automatically grant you access to all sessions over the Festival. There will be no charge but you must select a ticket to each session you wish to attend as soon as the program is released to you. This way we can secure your seat. 

    You can only book 1 ticket per session per Early Bird Pass. i.e. you cannot book with early access for a group. 

    In 2024, 88 of our 135 events sold out. To avoid disappointment and in order to have pre-release access to the program, we urge festival-goers to buy an Early Bird Pass. When you buy a pass you will receive the program one week prior to general release. This will give you time to plan your itinerary and be assured of a seat (venue size allowing). 

    Each year the Festival program includes some events that feature particular “add-ons” such as a two-course lunch, afternoon tea, a drink on arrival, drinks throughout the music performance etc.  

    To cover these costs we must charge more than the standard $30 per session ticket. We also have several events, which are indicated in our program.   

    Early Birds will also have early access to Special Events tickets. Tickets to The Political Lunch, The Barry Jones Oration and Drinks, Talking Footy, Words & Music and other events highlighted as special events will be available in February to purchase at their ticketed price, prior to general release.
