As part of our Sorrento on Tour event series, we invite you to a special screening of The Valley, followed by a Q&A with director Ian Darling.

The Valley is a cinematic portrait of community, belonging and life lived at a different rhythm.

Set in Kangaroo Valley, NSW, this observational documentary follows the people who call it home, from artists, farmers and builders to bakers, shopkeepers and local residents. Many work long days in solitude, milking cows, growing vegetables and baking bread. Yet these lives are quietly interconnected, as locals seek community, connection and a sense of belonging.

Ian Darling is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, photographer, philanthropist, and founder of Shark Island Productions. His films also include The Pool, The Final Quarter, Paul Kelly: Stories of Me, and The Oasis.

Ian will take part in a Q&A following the screening.
