In Conversation: Jock Serong
When he stumbled upon the story of 20th Century Australian businessman Fletcher Jones, author Jock Serong was intrigued. The award-winning fiction writer started his research into the life of the Warrnambool manufacturer and discovered a tale as remarkable as any fiction work he might have created. The result is A Suitable Man: The Eccentric Empire of Fletcher Jones and on Tuesday, September 22, we will be celebrating its arrival. Join us for a special “in conversation” between Jock and Festival Director Corrie Perkin.
Sorrento Writers Festival Annual Trivia Night
There are a few tables left for the Sorrento Writers Festival annual trivia night and we'd love you to join us. The brilliant Brian Nankervis is back as MC and Quiz Master. So, too, the Mick Jagger look-alikes, the 70s tv sitcom experts, the heads ‘n tails, and the ever-popular Nutbush comp.
Our raffle on the night will raise money for the Festival’s children’s literacy fund. Plus: lots of prizes, dancing and great fun. Our trivia night books out quickly so don’t miss out.

Venue: Portsea Life Saving Club
Tickets: $150 a ticket
Guests are required to put together tables of 8 ($1200) or 10 ($1500) with the Table Captain making one payment to Sorrento Writers Festival on behalf of his/her group.
