Linda Dessau AC CVO served as the 29th Governor of Victoria, the first woman in the role, from 2015 to 2023. A distinguished lawyer and judge, she worked across the Family Court, Children’s Court and Coroner’s Court, and served as Senior Crown Counsel in Hong Kong. Recognised for her service to law, community and the arts, she has been appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia and Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.
